Basix

Basix is the best sub-$300 PC on all of Jawa. Obviously this is not the fastest, does not have all the features of some more expensive PCs here on the platform... however, this PC is importantly Fully Windows 11 Compliant, and meets all of its official system requirements.

That alone gives this PC longevity over anything else in this price class. Windows 10 will stop receiving free security updates from Microsoft in October - then you have to pay yearly to keep it up to date. Alternatively, you can hack up a copy of Windows 11 to force it onto a system that doesn't meet the security requirements... guess how well that'll go when you're constantly online with open connections to browse, watch videos, play games, and voice chat with friends? Do you really want to risk it?

TLDR

• This PC only has Ethernet for connecting to a router. It does not have Wifi or Bluetooth, you'll need to purchase a USB adapter for those if you need either of those technologies.
• Despite its low price, this still has 16GB of RAM in dual-channel mode and a dedicated GeForce GTX 1060 GPU. Oh, and a six-core, 8th generation Core i5.
• The case is in rough shape, the top dust filter is bent up and the glass side panel is missing one of its securing screws. But that's all just cosmetic and affects nothing.
• Because of the components selected for this build, under a full gaming load the entire PC takes less than 200W of power to run. That means you won't have to worry about this heating up a room so badly in the summer coming up.
• This PC only includes a power cord, you will need to add your own keyboard, mouse, monitor, headphones/headset.
• In order to minimize the price of this PC, I will not be offering free technical support for setup. Obviously if it arrives in non-working condition then I will assist. Please refer to the instructions under Detailed Specs below on how to properly connect your monitor.

This PC will come generously bubble wrapped around the outside, with packaging foam on the inside to ensure the GPU does not shift during transit. You will need to remove the glass side and carefully remove the foam from inside the case before you turn the PC on. If you're not comfortable with doing that, please do not purchase this PC. Shipments are always fully insured for the purchase price.
