What it does

Strong 1440p — the X3D cache is the best gaming CPU that fits AM4, and the 3080 is still a 1440p-high card in current titles. Chimney airflow pulls cool air straight up through the GPU, which is exactly what a 320W card wants.

About the GPU

Five-year-old 3080s run hot when the factory pads dry out. This one was torn down, repadded, and the die repasted with PTM7950 phase-change material, so it runs like it did new. 10GB VRAM — fine at 1440p, not a 4K card.
