Selling a new, open-box QUICK 861DW 1000W Hot Air Rework Station.

I purchased this as a backup for prototyping and developing IR/VR sensors for first responder medical training and simulations. My identical working unit is still going strong after five years, so this backup was never needed. It has never been used; the box was opened only to photograph the unit and included accessories. The project has since moved into production, and I'm selling this unused backup to free up space.

Potential applications include electronics assembly, prototyping, and SMD rework, including motherboard and GPU repair. Adjustable temperature and airflow let you tailor heat delivery to the component and surrounding board area, while three presets allow switching between frequently used settings.

New open box, never used. Opened only to photograph the unit and included accessories. Purchased as a backup and never put into service. The five years of use mentioned above refers to my separate working station, not the unit being sold.

Applications / Technical Notes

Suitable applications include removing and replacing surface-mount resistors, ceramic capacitors, MOSFETs, and small ICs with the appropriate nozzle and technique. These capabilities can support circuit development, hobby electronics, and motherboard or GPU repair.

Dense multilayer boards and large ground planes may need board preheating. Nozzle selection, airflow, and shielding matter when working near small passives or plastic connectors. GPU-core and other large BGA work requires a controlled rework setup with suitable preheating, board support, and temperature monitoring.
