Description from Seller
Hp system with upgrades. 14x11x7 inches so it doesn't take up a lot of space.
Main changes are :
- Upgraded CPU cooler to a new ~$20 thermalright low profile. Stock one wasn't even covering the entire cpu.
- CPU thermal paste replaced with Honeywell PTM 7950. This lasts much longer and performs better than traditional thermal paste.
- Pulled the RX 580 4GB out and put in a GTX 1060 6G since the former was getting a little hot even after replacing the thermal paste.
Notes
- While taking off the backplate to the stock cpu cooler some of the green motherboard material got ripped off with the adhesive thereby exposing a handful of traces in a small area. I placed some kapton tape over the traces and after extensive testing determined the damage to be purely cosmetic.
- You will get a CMOS message upon first boot and the system will restart. This will only happen on the first boot or if you unplug from the wall and plug it back in.
- I tried upgrading the ram to 3200mhz but ran it a lower speed (no xmp config in bios) so I left the stock ram in.
- Specs - • CPU → AMD Ryzen 2700 + Brand new low profile Thermalright cooler. • GPU → GTX 1060 6GB SC (EVGA). I cleaned and repasted this April 2024 and it's been put away until this build. • RAM → 16GB (8Gx2) DDR4 2666mhz. • Mobo → Stock HP Board (B350 Chipset) • Storage → 128 GB SSD { Samsung Sata m.2 | Health Status Good | ~500/300 MBs read/write speed }. 1TB HDD { Health Status Good | ~200MBs R/W }. • PSU → Stock HP 400W (80 plus platinum) • Case → Stock HP
