Compact Budget Gaming PC – Ryzen 5 5500 / Intel B580 12GB / 16GB RAM
Hand-built gaming PC designed to deliver excellent 1080p gaming performance without the size or cost of a typical gaming tower.
Looking for a capable gaming PC without spending a fortune or giving up half your desk to a giant tower? This compact build pairs a Ryzen 5 5500 6-core/12-thread processor with an AsRock Intel B580 12GB GPU and 16GB of DDR4 memory for a very capable 1080p gaming machine.
The system was built with value and practicality in mind. It is a clean, quiet computer with an additional m.2 slot on the motherboard and overhead on the PSU for CPU, GPU, or storage upgrades.
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5500 — 6 cores / 12 threads
GPU: AsRock Challenger Arc B580 12GB
RAM: 16GB TeamGroup T-Force DDR4 — 3200MHz (2 X 8GB)
Motherboard: AsRock B450M/AC (Ethernet and WiFi built-in)
Storage: 512GB ADATA Legend 700 M.2 NVME (PCI-E Gen 3)
Power Supply: Raidmax 80+ Bronze 650W, non-modular
Case: Zalman Cubix-G Mini Tower
Operating System: Windows 11 Home
The only component in this build that is used is the ADATA 512GB. The rest of the components are brand new out of the box, just assembled and tested for ease of setup.
Not every game has been personally tested, but some of the ones I have are below, with average FPS listed for each resolution.
CS2: 290 FPS in 1080p, 220 in 1440p
Fortnite: 230 FPS in 1080p, 175 in 1440p
Valorant: 360 FPS in 1080p, 300 in 1440p
Cyberpunk: 80 FPS in 1080p, 60 in 1440p
Red Dead Redemption 2: 85 FPS in 1080p, 65 in 1440p
Minecraft: 275 FPS in 1080p, 230 in 1440p
📦 Why This Build?
Compact. Capable. Affordable.
This is a great option for someone who wants a legitimate gaming PC without paying extra for unnecessary features. The Intel b580's 12GB of VRAM gives it plenty of breathing room for modern 1080p gaming, while the 16GB of system memory is more than enough for gaming, multitasking, school/work applications, and general use.
The Zalman Cubix-G Mini Tower keeps the overall footprint considerably smaller than a conventional gaming tower, making this a good choice for a smaller desk, bedroom, dorm, office, or living-room setup.
Note: the fans in the Zalman Cubix-G are fixed RGB fans. Their color cannot be controlled.
Reasonable offers considered. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns!
