Dell XPS 8920/Modded For Gaming/I7-7700/16GB RAM/Win 11/M.2 NVME/1TB HDD/Corsair AIO/Extras

For sale is the Dell XPS 8920 that is similar to Alienware machines. It is different then others in that it's cooling solution has been modified for 1080p gaming sessions to maintain important CPU and GPU temps low and in safe territory. Below are some improvements that have been done to this PC that made it a rather unique one off project for me and will be great performing affordable budget gaming PC for you.

Z270 Chipset LGA1151 socket- The BIOS has been updated to latest version. The I7-6700 CPU was replaced with the I7-7700 CPU (3.60 GHz - 4.20 GHz Turbo Boost 2.0) It has 16GB of Samsung DDR4 RAM @ 2133 Mhz The motherboard in this PC is the Z270 series capable of utilizing K chips (6600K/6700K/7700K) with OC capabilities if that is a desirable future upgrade.

A Samsung 256GB M.2 2280 NVME with new activated Windows 11 Pro OS. The storage HDD is a Seagate Barracuda 1TB. The DVD/CD player was removed for less clutter = better air flow and the front panel opening has a new mesh air cover.

Testing proved the stock CPU cooler wasn't up to the task so It's now equipped with a Corsair H60 AIO liquid cooler. It has been thoroughly cleaned,flushed and refilled with a proper distilled water/Ethylene glycol mix.

It had a GTX 1030 graphics card that's been replaced with a dual fan Zotac AMP GTX 1060 6GB that has also been thoroughly cleaned padded and re-pasted with Arctic 6.

The stock PSU was swapped in favor of a newer EVGA 500W BQ Modular unit for better cable management and potential future GPU upgrades.

Extra air intake flow is provided by a new Noctua NF-F12 120mm front intake fan plus a new 80mm intake fan is installed on the side panel. Both fans are connected to a manually adjustable 4 pin fan hub. See pics.

After much determination and testing this PC is ready to tackle everyday computer tasks, video work and 1080p gaming sessions while maintaining CPU and GPU temps considerably cooler then with the stock configuration.

This machine has optimized settings already in place as a courtesy and convenience for a new owner that allows it to run cooler and better without sacrificing performance while also providing longevity of the components. It has MSI Afterburner installed and comes with two minor custom profile settings, details and easy instructions are provided.

I've had it for 2 years and was part of a rotation of PC's I enjoy modding up. All are tested and retested before listing and parting with. This PC has been in its current configuration for 6 months and it performs very well with Esports titles and many others that resourceful gamers can enjoy with proper game settings. All in all it's a good PC for anyone from beginners and first timers to anyone whose looking for good bang for buck performance and value in a unique machine.

All USB ports, slots, Wifi and Ethernet work perfectly. It has an activated debloated Windows 11 Pro OS and comes with a time saving suite of free software programs installed and detailed instructions on how to use the Titus Win utility and OOShutup privacy tools to minimize Windows telemetry and minimize resource hogging processes to keep your machine running lean and mean.
