This is a great PC for getting into gaming of for an upgrade from an older system. With the Ryzen 5 3600 and the RTX 3070, you will get a capable gaming PC. This PC is designed for 1080p 60+ fps gaming with high to ultra setting in most games, or 1440p 60+ fps gaming with medium settings.

Parts Selection Rationale: For this build I chose the RTX 3070 and the R5 3600 CPU/GPU combo because it offers a good balanced performance. The CPU, Motherboard, and GPU also all are PCIE Gen 4 enabled, which will give you a few precent performance increase over similar systems with only PCIE Gen 3, like with the R5 5500 that you will see in many similar priced systems, which is limited to Gen 3 speeds. The R5 3600 is on the Am4 socket, which means you can do a drop in upgrade all the way up to a 5800x3d, which is a very fast CPU (though you may need a more beefy CPU cooler for that CPU). The 3070 is while 2 generations old, still is quite powerful in terms of raster performance and is on par with the Current generation 5060, and will beat GPU's like the 2080 Ti, 3060 Ti, and the 4060 Ti, and can be upgraded in the future to suit your needs. I have also made custom tuned fan curves so that even under full load the system will stay quiet and with decent temperatures on the CPU and GPU.
