Overview & Specs
This is a parts bin PC — components I had on hand that didn't fit the theme or spec sheet of other builds. I'm not going to dress it up as something it isn't, and the price reflects that. This is being sold as-is¹.
The 3600 is a capable chip, but it will be the limiting factor in most games at this point. You can offset this somewhat by pushing quality settings higher, which shifts more of the load onto the 2080 SUPER. For single-player gaming at 1080p this is a really enjoyable setup, and it'll handle esports titles without issue. You also get a full 1TB NVMe with 99% life remaining² and plenty of room to grow your library.
A heads up on connectivity: the M.2 WiFi slot on the motherboard was damaged during shipping, so I removed the module entirely. There is no WiFi or Bluetooth on this system. You're limited to Ethernet only, or you could pick up a USB WiFi adapter if wireless is a must. I didn't individually test every rear I/O port, so no guarantees there, but the system has been fully stress tested and runs stable.
Fair warning: this thing runs warm and loud. The Wraith Prism is a serviceable cooler but it's not exactly whisper-quiet, and the case airflow doesn't do it many favors. It's a hotbox under load. Everything stays within safe temps, but don't expect silence.
RGB runs a default rainbow cycle out of the box. RGB isn't currently controlled by any software. Worth noting that in the listing photos, the RGB appears pink due to long exposure on my camera. In person it's just standard rainbow cycling. The motherboard didn't come with a rear IO shield, so I 3D printed one to keep things tidy.
The Raidmax Cobra sits at C-tier on the SPL PSU tier list. It gets the job done for this setup.
