A long boi build with a long boi GPU (although it's quite wide as well). This is a really solid 1080p gaming machine that'll handle high-FPS esports without breaking a sweat. The 5600X is pretty much endgame AM4, but if you ever find a 5700X3D or 5800X3D to throw in here, that 360mm AIO will gladly keep it cool.
The B550 chipset brings PCIe 4.0 support so the SN770 can run at full speeds, and future GPUs won't be bottlenecked by slower lanes. You only have 16GB of RAM, but for a 1080p gaming rig this is plenty, and the Trident Z RGB kit looks great doing it.
RGB is handled exclusively through SignalRGB. SignalRGB recently switched to a purchase-as-you-go model where basic effects are free. If you fancy a more complex effect, you pay once and unlock it forever. No subscriptions for RGB software.
Performance-wise, PBO is enabled for a modest bump and I've set custom fan curves before shipping. The 3070 FTW3 can be slightly loud under load, but it has a quiet mode¹ that runs at the reference 220W power limit if the noise bothers you. The 360mm AIO keeps the 5600X well within safe temps, so there's plenty of thermal headroom should you ever swap in a beefier chip.
The MSI MAG sits at B-tier on the SPL PSU tier list. A quality unit that comes with a native 12V-2x6 cable, so future GPU upgrades won't need any adapters. The 5600X can definitely handle a stronger card, too.
