Back in the day, this would've been a future-proofer's dream. 8 cores, 12GB of VRAM, 32GB of RAM - people said it was overkill, and they were kind of right! 8-core CPUs still aren't the be-all and end-all, but on these older gen AM4 chips, more and more games are listing 8 cores as recommended specs. The 32GB of RAM speaks for itself - sure, you could scrape by with 16GB in 2025, but only if you close literally everything in the background. Not here though. The only thing the anti-futureproofers got right was the VRAM - with 12GB, the 3060 really isn't powerful enough to utilize it all. Still, it's nice to have, especially if you're an aspiring streamer or video editor.
Case big, GPU small. Looks a bit weird now, but you've got plenty of room to grow. This case features an anti-sag bracket along with a vertical GPU bracket (PCIe riser cable not included). With that 750W ATX 3.1 PSU, you have plenty of configurations and GPUs to upgrade to. Don't forget the PCIe 4.0 motherboard that unlocks any modern GPU's full performance - right now, that 4.0 board lets you take full advantage of the 1TB SN770.
I won't lie, I tried to get Armory Crate and Razer Synapse working, but they always had some sort of issue - primarily Synapse telling me the Hanbo had the incorrect number of fans. I said screw that, if I'm getting annoyed, whoever buys this is going to be even more annoyed. I set synapse to the quiet fan curve (temps were good!) and chose to go with SignalRGB to control all of the RGB instead. It cuts down on wasteful processes, and with their new update that allows you to buy and permanently unlock effects, I think it's finally a great choice (it used to require a monthly subscription). Basic effects are still free.

This system comes with a fresh Windows 11 Home installation (other than preinstalled apps⁴) and will require initial setup on first boot.
¹This CPU is missing a redundant pin - passed all testing without issues.
²USB-C port is NOT CONNECTED. This STRIX board does not have a USB-C header. There are various methods for adding USB-C functionality, but I left it up to the customer to choose which one they prefer.
³WiFi antenna (uninstalled for shipping), PSU cable (pictured cable is only for testing), remaining case accessories (including vertical GPU bracket), remaining cable extension accessories (including another 8-pin PCIe for future upgrades), and Razer AIO accessories.
⁴Preinstalled apps include SignalRGB, NVIDIA APP, SanDisk Dashboard, and Steam.
