I bought this 980ti in the summer of 2016, I used it for 2 years before replacing it with a Radeon 5700.
In that time, this card sat in my old build and was never used to mine. It’s in good condition, I never overclocked it, never changed voltages, and ran the fans on stock speeds.
This card is aging, its performance is similar to a 1660ti and performs better at higher resolutions when compared.
The thermal pads and thermal paste are getting old, you may need to replace them in the next 2 years but the thermals were fine when I tested it.
This card is good value if you want to have a card as you wait for prices to go down, the driver support for this card should last another year or two. in the latest titles it struggles to play at high settings.
