I purchased this CPU from Ebay in Spring 2024 to upgrade a family PC. I didn't get around to the upgrade until recently. Found out the CPU is only partially working. This CPU will handle BIOS tasks just fine, however when installing and trying to boot into windows, it will consistently dish out Blue Screens of Death.

I've tried everything including BIOS updates, RAM swaps, Motherboard swaps, etc. and all end up with same errors. It will give kernel errors, hardware errors, and more. My thoughts are that the memory controller is toast, but I'm just a tinkerer not a pro.

While I make no guarantees, this CPU should still perform tasks such as BIOS updates on older motherboards or can be harvested for pins. It is not reliable for use as main CPU.
