Originally came with a dual core i5 chip but was recently swapped to a quad core i7 to improve overall performance. The laptop uses Nvidia Optimus which allows the computer to switch between the integrated and Nvidia graphics during certain workloads. It is a decently capable gaming machine but don't expect it to play anything too modern.
