This is an ASUS ROG Matrix Platinum GeForce RTX 4090 24GB GDDR6X from the seller's personal stock. It is a liquid-cooled graphics card with a 360mm radiator and 2.5-slot enclosure that houses a copper cold plate and a compact water pump. Liquid metal TIM is used between the GPU die and the cold plate.

It was purchased on 2024/01/06 from Micro Center with a 3-year carry-in protection plan as an "open box" item with a yellow clearance price sticker. According to sales associates, the previous owner bought this RTX 4090 graphics card because it was the only model available at the location where they purchased the card. It was later returned for a less expensive model. The previous owner may have used it briefly, or otherwise just fit it inside a PC.

The Matrix Platinum has most if not all the accessories, including the collectible trading card and the power adapter cable (12VHPWR to four 8-pin PCIe). There are no major scratches or visible cracks on the main enclosure or the PCB. The liquid pump makes a quiet, but still audible whirring sound; it may not be as quiet as other Matrix Platinum cards in circulation. The retention nub on the 12VHPWR receptacle is intact and has not been deformed or chipped off. Some areas on the exposed side of the radiator fins have minor dents.

The seller has used this Matrix Platinum briefly for stress-testing in OCCT, benchmarking in 3DMark, and blockchain processing under safe operating conditions for roughly 4 months (GPU core undervolt, VRAM frequency at factory default). At the time of testing, this Matrix Platinum scored consistently above the average results in popular 3DMark tests, along with a Ryzen 9 7950X3D and a DDR5-6000 CL30 memory kit on an ASUS ROG Crosshair X670E Hero motherboard.

As far as the seller can tell, the Matrix Platinum is in great condition and proper working order. However, due to the scarcity of the Matrix Platinum, this card will be sold as-is; there are virtually no replacements available. Upon safe delivery, it is the buyer's responsibility to install the graphics card properly and test it at their own risk to confirm that the card is still in working order. Buyers are advised to check and test their own hardware components for issues before installing the graphics card in a system with those components. Nvidia graphics drivers may need to be uninstalled and re-installed in order for the Matrix Platinum to function properly, especially when swapping out an existing graphics card. The Matrix Platinum can draw as much as 500W, if not up to 600W. Potential buyers should ensure that their PSU is ready to deliver sufficient, reliable power to their entire system.

While there are no returns or exchanges, Jawa's Buyer and Seller Protections remain in effect. Failure and malfunctions not due to user error ("accidents") are covered by the Micro Center carry-in protection plan. Issuing an RMA with ASUS and shipping the graphics card for repairs or replacement voids the Micro Center carry-in protection plan.
