Used EVGA SuperNOVA 650 GS 650w 80+ Gold Certified ATX Fully Modular Power Supply
This was my first power supply I ever used back when I bought in in 2015. It had been respectfully used only for gaming and productivity work. I bought the power supply upply brand new in 2015, so I'm the only owner. This was a part of my first PC when I built it the summer before college. I used grad party money to build it, which was really dumb (no regrets). I built a new pc back in April and my 7900 XTX has too high of a power draw for this psu. If I were smarter and more frugal, I would have bought a gpu with a lesser power draw and still be using this PSU... But I'm not...
Anyway, I intend to use the money from the sale of this PSU as well as my other used parts to pay towards my student loans. It feels only right that the residual essence of my graduate party money will finally be used towards the cost of my degree...
Here are the Details on the 650 GS
This PSU is a testament to why I only buy Gold rated and above power supplies. This power supply never let me down, never gave me issues and always worked as advertised. My old build only have a power draw of about 400-ish watts, so I never came close to maxing out the capabilities of this PSU.
As a reminder, I would still be using this power supply if it wasn't for the obscene power draw on the RX 7900 XTX I bought.
Last time I used this PSU was in April 2023. It works, it works well, never gave me a single issue. The psu sat in my pc until April of this year, because it was in use. Since April, It has been safely tucked in its original packaging. It has a slight paint chip on the face plate (see first photo), and some bunching on the sticker (in the first photo as well), this is likely from the straps I used to fasten the psu in place (I also had it screwed in securely to the case).
The best feature of this PSU besides being made by EVGA is that its fully modular. The cords, while not all sleeved in the plastic braided weave like the mobo cord, all have a solid black finish to them that makes this PSU rather discrete. There is no rgb on this PSU, so if you prefer to hide your psu behind a case shroud, then go for it. This psu can be oriented with the fan up or the fan down depending on your case layout. I used it in exhaust mode with the fan facing downbbecause my case had vents on the bottom. I recommend you do the same for optimal case temps.
Everything pictured is what will come with the psu. I will ship the item in its original packaging and within another box to make sure it is secure.
If you're looking for a reasonably priced, guaranteed 650w psu to finish out your build, then I've got you! Shoot me a message if you're interested.
