Alienware M17 Gaming Laptop

Laptop came from the original owner who purchased it new only a few months ago. I have upgraded the ram from 16GB to 32GB and upgraded the storage from a single 512GB PCIE4.0 NVME and added a top of the line PCIE4.0 2TB NVME from TeamGroup for a total of 2.5TB of gaming and workstation storage.

This Laptop is the perfect replacement to an aging desktop or for cramped spaces. I have personally played games like Hogwarts Legacy, Fallout 4 and others without issues. The fans can be loud, however I did not experience thermal throttling and that is the most important.

So how IS the gaming performance you ask? The AMD RX 6700M based on relative performance sits 4% under a DESKTOP RX 6650XT and 1% better than a DESKTOP Nvidia 2070 Super (note mobile gpu variants are weaker than desktop gpus under same name) . So yes, it can game, and do it very well with its onboard 10GB Vram. Paired with a 8C 16T CPU and DDR5 ram sporting 50% faster speeds over DDR4 3200mhz ram this Laptop is solid inside and out.
