Dell Inspiron 11 3180 w/upgrades + Linux Mint Xfce
Overview & Specs
- Condition
- Used, Good
- Usage
- > 5 years
Description from Seller
This Dell Inspiron 11 3180 had the following upgrades:
- from 4GB to 8GB of G.Skill DDR4 2400 RAM
- Intel 9260 Wifi PCIe card (Wi-Fi 5 + WPA3)
- Samsung 128GB MicroSD card to supplement the 32GB internal eMMC drive (not replaceable/expandible)
- Battery was replaced with an OEM replacement (12/2025)
- Switched from Windows 10 (slow and used up all storage) to Linux Mint Xfce (better performance and use of storage space)
- Thermal paste was replaced with Kingpin KPx
- UEFI BIOS was updated to the latest available
This netbook has an AMD A6-9220e CPU (last iteration of the Bulldozer family). With the upgrades, it's decent for web browsing and a few other tasks that do not require a high-performance system, like legacy games (I was using it as a music player).
Caveats: The microSD slot is a bit finicky and no longer allows easy extraction of the card. The left side of the keyboard has a tendency to not register keystrokes consistently and may require a bit of force (or an external keyboard).
