Selling a 2022 Apple MacBook Air with the M2 chip, 8GB unified memory, and 256GB SSD. Midnight finish. Great lightweight laptop for school, work, browsing, streaming, and everyday productivity.

Specifications:

• Apple M2 chip (8-core CPU / 8-core GPU)
• 8GB unified memory
• 256GB Apple SSD
• 13.6" Liquid Retina display (2560 × 1664)
• macOS Golden Gate 27.0.1
• Touch ID fingerprint reader
• MagSafe charging and two Thunderbolt/USB4 ports

Condition & Testing:

Good used cosmetic condition with normal signs of wear. Battery health is 92% with 221 charge cycles, and Apple reports its condition as Normal.

Tested using Apple Diagnostics. Mac Resource Inspector, Touch ID, software, battery, display, keyboard, and trackpad tests all passed.

Full Disclosure:

macOS displays a warning that it cannot verify the Touch ID board as a genuine Apple part. However, Touch ID functions normally and passed Apple's diagnostics.

I also observed intermittent vertical black bars during startup. These have not occurred during shutdown or normal operation. The black bars have ONLY appeared during startup and have NEVER occurred once the MacBook has fully booted. I've completed over 24 hours of screen and device use without any display issues during normal operation. The display also passed Apple's diagnostic testing. The cause of the startup behavior has not been determined.

Signed out of iCloud with Activation Lock disabled. Will be factory reset for the next owner.
