Overview & Specs
An ORICO 5-Bay DAS (Direct Attached Storage). It accepts 3.5" FF HDDs that use a SATA III interface. This DAS supports UASP but does not support RAID.
I ran a combination of 2TB, 5TB, and 12TB HDDs in this unit over the course of several years. I used it mostly as short-term storage for edited videos before they got sent off to network storage. The unit does support up to 16TB HDDs in each bay. Maximum capacity is 80TB (5x 16TB). The controller is a JMicron SATA III-to-USB 3.0 UASP controller. I cannot recall the exact JMicron controller, unfortunately. Otherwise, it works great and never had any problems with it.
