The "1Chip" as it is commonly referred to is the last and final major revision made in to the Super Nintendo starting in 1995. This first started with an -01, and then followed up with -02 and -03 minor revisions. It is commonly held that the "1Chip" Super Nintendo has better picture quality when compared to the superseded consoles before it. It could also be noted that in 1995, the Nintendo 64 and PlayStation 1 were released in North America. As a result, it can be safely assumed that sales for the Super Nintendo dropped off steadily during the same time these 1Chip Super Nintendo’s became available. This is likely one reason it is exceedingly harder to find 1Chip Super Nintendo’s. One last note to be aware of. According to consolemods dot org, with the -03 revision, Nintendo omitted components for the composite sync signal which means this console will need to be modified to restore RGB picture capability. In short, you don't have to worry about this with this -01 revision. It has you covered for RGB functionality.
With an 100% feedback rating and from a smoke free home, these five included items are carefully packaged and ready to be shipped from Pacific Northwest.
