I purchased this CPU used 3 years ago from Ebay. It was overclocked to 4.0Ghz, same as on the base i7-4790K, with a trivial temperature increase. I never pushed it beyond that. It's a great choice for anyone still using a Z97 motherboard. An aftermarket cooler is recommended if you plan on overclocking. If not, a stock Intel cooler will suffice. I'm selling it because I've upgraded to a Broadwell CPU.

For extra protection during shipping, I will use a small box instead of a padded envelope.
