Selling a used, very-good-condition bundle: ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Hero motherboard with a Mushkin Vortex Redline 2TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD physically installed. Windows 11 Pro is preinstalled on the SSD and prepared for first-time setup (OOBE); a brand-new retail activation key and instructions are included.

The motherboard was pulled from a very lightly used prebuilt system and validated on my test bench (see screenshots). It pairs Intel's Z790 platform with fast Gen4 storage.

Per ASUS specs, the ROG Maximus Z790 Hero features the Intel Z790 chipset, LGA 1700 socket (12th–14th Gen Core), ATX form factor, 20+1 power stage VRM, DDR5-7800+ (OC) memory support, PCIe 5.0 x16, Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 6E, and 2.5Gb LAN. BIOS updated to version 3107.

Per Mushkin specs, the Vortex Redline 2TB (MKNSSDVT2TB-D8) is an M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4 x4 NVMe 1.4 SSD on an InnoGrit IG5236 controller, rated at up to 7,415 MB/s read and 6,800 MB/s write.

The SSD has been securely sanitized, tested, and freshly preinstalled with Windows 11 Pro. Install your CPU, RAM, and cooler, then power on — it boots into Windows first-time setup. Activate with the included brand-new retail key.

SMART data shows 96% remaining life, roughly 120 TB written, 1,081 power cycles, and 5,192 power-on hours.

Benchmark & Validation Photos (in order)

• First screenshot — HWiNFO + ROG CPU-Z: this exact SSD in this exact motherboard, BIOS 3107, Windows 11 Pro (25H2), Secure Boot and TPM enabled. Benchmark temps (47–52°C) are normal for a Gen4 SSD — no throttling.
• Second screenshot — Default Mix test: 4 passes, 64 GiB, 70/30 mixed workload — ~7,121 MB/s read, ~6,638 MB/s write at 47°C.
• Thirdscreenshot — Peak Performance Mix test: same 4 passes / 64 GiB, tuned for throughput — 7,146 MB/s read, 6,690 MB/s write, ~186K / 151K random 4K IOPS at 52°C.

Condition

Functional: Motherboard and SSD fully tested; BIOS updated to 3107; all slots and ports working; SSD SMART healthy; Windows 11 Pro prepared for first-time setup (OOBE). No known functional issues.

Cosmetic: Used, very good condition overall with signs of very light use. Minor scuffs on the GPU mounting shroud — cosmetic only and hidden once a GPU is installed. No original box — only the accessories shown in the listing photos are included. See photos for condition.

Compatibility / Technical Notes

The included Windows 11 Pro key is a retail license, not OEM — it activates on one device at a time but belongs to you, not the drive, and can move with you to a new PC later.
