Overview & Specs
Selling a used, very-good-condition Crucial T700 2TB PCIe Gen5 NVMe M.2 SSD with a fresh Windows 11 Pro installation prepared for first-time setup (OOBE). A brand-new retail Windows 11 Pro activation key and instructions are included.
This drive served as a backup drive on one of my rendering stations — a light workload of occasional backup writes. I am selling because I upgraded to 8TB drives (limited PCIe 5.0 M.2 slots on some of my motherboards).
Per Crucial specs, the T700 (CT2000T700SSD3) is an M.2 2280 PCIe Gen5 x4 NVMe 2.0 SSD built with Micron 232-layer TLC NAND and a Phison E26 controller, rated at up to 12,400 MB/s read and 11,800 MB/s write, up to 1,500,000 IOPS, and 1,200 TBW endurance.
The drive has been securely sanitized, reformatted, and freshly preinstalled with Windows 11 Pro. Install it in your M.2 slot, power on, and the system boots into the standard Windows 11 first-time setup. After completing setup and reaching the desktop, activate Windows in Settings > System > Activation using the included brand-new retail product key.
SMART data shows 96% remaining life, roughly 45 TB written of the rated 1,200 TBW, and 26 power cycles. CrystalDiskMark verified at ~12,000/11,500 MB/s sequential on a PCIe Gen5 x4 slot.
Benchmark Photos (in order)
The listing photos include two CrystalDiskMark benchmark runs of this exact drive, so you can verify performance yourself:
- First screenshot — Default Mix test: 4 passes at a 64 GiB test size with a 70% read / 30% write mixed workload, simulating everyday use. The drive reached ~11,950 MB/s read and ~11,400 MB/s write at 57°C under load.
- Second screenshot — Peak Performance Mix test: the same 4 passes and 64 GiB size, tuned for maximum throughput. The drive reached 12,086 MB/s read and 11,507 MB/s write at 45°C.
Both screenshots also show the drive's SMART health panel with the remaining-life figure noted above. Temperatures shown (45–57°C during benchmarking) are well within the normal operating range for a Gen5 SSD — no overheating, no throttling.
Condition
Functional: Fully tested and verified as detailed above. Fresh Windows 11 Pro installation prepared for first-time setup (OOBE); activate after setup using the included brand-new retail product key.
Cosmetic: Used, very good condition. No original retail packaging; ships in an individual 3-mil static shielding bag. See photos for exact condition.
What's Included
- Crucial T700 2TB NVMe SSD (fresh Windows 11 Pro preinstalled)
- Windows 11 Pro retail activation key with instructions
- Individual 3-mil static shielding bag
Compatibility / Technical Notes
Works in M.2 2280 slots (PCIe Gen5/Gen4/Gen3 x4 NVMe); full speed requires Gen5 x4. Gen5 drives run hot — use a heatsink for sustained workloads.
Windows 11 Pro License Notes
The included product key is a retail Windows 11 Pro license, not an OEM license locked to this SSD. A retail key activates on one device at a time, but the license belongs to you, not the drive. If you upgrade to a larger SSD or move to a new PC later, you can deactivate the key on the old system and reactivate it on the new one.
Buyer Notes
- Windows license is a brand-new retail key; activation is completed by the buyer after first-time setup.
- Sold exactly as pictured and described.
- Confirm M.2 slot and PCIe compatibility before purchase.
- Serial numbers are recorded and logged prior to shipment for fraud prevention.
- Item condition and packaging are photographed/recorded before shipment.
- Manufacturer warranty coverage is subject to Crucial's warranty terms.
