Overview & Specs
Price is negotiable and I repasted this gpu already.
I am selling this gpu since I recently bought a RTX 5060 TI 16GB. It was expensive and I am trying to recoup cost's. I obviously tested it to make sure everything was working and I also repasted it. Now the GTX 970 holds it's status because it offers frankly incredible value, even if it was never technically the "greatest ever" due to its infamous 3.5GB VRAM controversy. It remains surprisingly capable for casual gaming, easily crushing esports titles like Counter Strike 2, Dota 2, and Fortnite at stable framerates at 1080p. Though in my experience it falls a bit flat on modern AAA titles. Exceptions were, RE9, FF: Butterfly Remaster, Marvel Rivals, FC 26, Marathon, Arc raiders, and even Forza 6. Though that last game also has the same problem as other non optimized games. Where demanding textures easily trigger severe stuttering by maxing out its limited memory. It remains a remarkably good option, it honestly surprised me when I tested it. Though it has it's problems.
There is no hardware RT, No hardware upscaling, and the 4gb of vram holds it back in the newest triple A games. There is a reason it sells for 50$. Though if you're aware of this and it doesn't severely affect you in the games you play, than this is a good option to keep in mind.
