This PSU was used in my personal showcase rig for approximately 1.5 years and performed flawlessly throughout its time in the system. It was installed in a regularly cleaned environment, well maintained, and never subjected to heavy loads beyond roughly 600W.

I removed it during a platform swap from Intel to AMD and briefly reused it to perform a motherboard BIOS update via BIOS Flashback. During the update process, I noticed a burnt electrical smell coming from the PSU. Since interrupting the BIOS update could have corrupted the motherboard, I allowed the process to finish, which took around 20 more minutes. The power supply continued functioning normally the entire time with no shutdowns, instability, or other issues aside from the odor.

After the update completed, I powered the unit off and have not used it since. I opened it for a visual inspection and did not notice any obvious signs of failure or damaged components internally. That said, due to the smell and the uncertainty surrounding it, I would prefer to sell this to someone experienced with diagnosing, repairing, or safely working on power supplies rather than continue using it myself.
