Used Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut Liquid Metal as new TIM, and resealed CPU with Permatex High Temp Gasket Maker. Operation was successful, as expected, resulting in significantly reduced temps. This classic, highly lauded and easily over-clocked Intel Core i7-8700k (8th Gen Coffee Lake) was Intel’s first landmark 6-core CPU, featuring 12 threads, a base clock of 3.7GHz and turbo boost up to 4.7GHz, a smart cache of 12MB, and a TDP of only 95W.
