This Samsung 870 EVO 1TB SATA SSD was taken out of another computer after it all of a sudden stopped showing up in both Windows, and in the Bios. The seal/label on the back of the SSD has been taken off by the original owner of the computer.
Photos of the SSD from many different angles, including the pins, are in the photos above. From what I can see, nothing looks out of the ordinary besides the seal/label being off of the SSD. The pins look fine and has no marks from burn damage, but the little part of the "L" shape of the long pin seems to be off. I could install the SATA cable and SATA power cable even with that part off of the SSD.
When I tried to use it, the SSD got a little warm to the touch, but wasn't recognized in Bios or Windows. Please note that I tested it in a room temperature room and it could have just been my hand.
This SSD is listed in a FOR PARTS/AS IS condition. The best use for this SSD is for anyone skilled enough to repair it, wants to see if they can fix it, or most likely that someone just wants to use it for parts inside the SSD. It is definitely possible that it was a human error on both mine and the original owner's end, but you can try yourself to get it to work if you please.
