These CPUs are close to performance to a i5-6400 but slightly better. The i5-6400 is a 4 Core, 4 Thread CPU that has a Base Clock of 2.7GHz and a Max of 3.3GHz while the Xeon E3-1220 V5 has a Base clock of 3GHz and a Max of 3.5GHz while also being a 4 Core, 4 Thread CPU that is also Skylake. These CPUs make for a great budget Gaming PC or for a good File/Home Server.
