Selling a MSI MPG Z790 CARBON MAX WIFI II ATX Motherboard, model 7D89-015R.

This motherboard was installed in my second worker-node PC as the platform for my backup rendering station. It saw less than two months of light use—roughly 1–2 days per week at most—and has not been used for daily work, mining, or long-term workloads. It ran in a development and rendering workstation environment before I upgraded the machine to an AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9995WX platform for faster parallel processing, which required a new sTR5 motherboard.

The board has been fully tested and verified in working condition. It ships with the original retail box, manual, and all included accessories.

Per MSI specs, this board features the Intel Z790 chipset, LGA 1700 socket supporting Intel 12th/13th/14th Gen processors, 4x DDR5 DIMM slots up to 256GB and 7800+ MT/s (OC), a Direct 19+1+1 phase VRM with 105A Smart Power Stages, and an ATX form factor (243.84mm x 304.8mm). Expansion includes 1x PCIe 5.0 x16 slot, 1x PCIe 4.0 x4 slot, 1x PCIe 3.0 x1 slot, 5x M.2 slots (M.2_2 supports PCIe 5.0 x4), and 6x SATA 6Gb/s ports. Networking is handled by Realtek 5Gb LAN, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4. Condition

Functional: Very lightly used. Fully tested and verified working with no known functional issues. BIOS updated to the latest stable revision during testing.

Compatibility / Technical Notes

Supports Intel Core 12th, 13th, and 14th Gen processors for LGA 1700. Ensure your CPU cooler is compatible with LGA 1700 mounting. The primary PCIe x16 slot runs at Gen 5.0 speeds from the CPU. Installing an SSD in M.2_2 will reduce the primary PCIe slot to x8 operation. Please confirm case clearance for ATX motherboards (243.84mm x 304.8mm) before purchasing.

Packing / Shipping

The motherboard will be shipped in its original retail box with all included accessories.
