Overview & Specs
Alienware M18 R2 with 32GB of DDR5 RAM, 2TB of SSD storage, an Intel I9-14900HX, and an NVIDIA RTX 4090 mobile GPU with 16GB of VRAM.
Everything internally is in good shape, still performs as well as when I initially bought it. The battery life is not good, this is certainly a mobile desktop replacement that isn't really able to be used away from a wall for more than 2.5 hours (less if you're doing intensive workloads), though this is about the same battery life I got when new, just very power hungry hardware.
The only issue with the hardware is that there is a horizontal line of pixels that looks like it is shifted a bit, which I am told is a loose display cable.
Aesthetically it is decent shape, the only damage is a scuff mark on the outside of the laptop from when it rubbed into something.
I am selling mostly because I need at least 96GB of RAM for work, and this laptop will not support the 96GB kit that I have, so I had to buy a laptop that could, I would have hung onto this thing for awhile otherwise since it is an absolute tank in terms of raw performance. If you don't care much about fan noise under high load, or lugging around a laptop that weighs as much 6 Mac Minis, then this laptop should be a good choice for portable no-compromises performance.
