Condition & Usage History

This processor is in great condition and runs awesome. It includes the original box and packaging.

• Thermal Management: This CPU has been liquid-cooled its entire life.
• Workload: Used primarily for standard computer activities and gaming for approximately one year. It has not been used in a server environment or for 24/7 heavy-duty operations.
• Performance: I had no issues running high-frequency DDR5 RAM (96GB at 6000MHz+).

I recently upgraded to a Ryzen 9 9950X3D and, honestly, I haven't noticed much of an improvement. I considered going back to this chip, but I don't feel like tearing into my PC again and dealing with the return process for a used processor.

Technical Tips

I highly recommend a high-quality cooler for these CPUs; it's best to keep them as cool as possible. They absolutely tear through games (especially when paired with a strong GPU) and serve as a fantastic workstation CPU, which was my original reason for purchasing it.

To get the most out of this X3D processor:

1. Core Parking: Ensure you set up core parking properly for gaming. This parks the non-3D cores during games for higher FPS and unparks them for multithreaded workstation applications.
2. Power Plan: Run Windows in Balanced Mode.
3. BIOS: Allow core parking in the BIOS.
4. Verification: You can verify parking is working via the Windows Resource Manager while a game is running.
