This is a custom all black all amd build inside a Dell Vostro 230 home computer from 2010 that has been custom fit for mid range modern gaming computer parts. This sleeper pc will game easily at 1080p or higher depending on game and settings. I opened up behind the front panel for the intake fans to have less restriction. Below the graphics card I cut holes to allow the GPU to breath easier to allow better airflow underneath. I added a custom cut magnetic dust filter underneath to help prevent a lot of dust coming up through the bottom. I had to cut some of the interior of the case to fit the gpu because of the length. From the outside it's almost indistinguishable from 2010 besides the floppy drive usb adapter. I wired the power switch and led lights to work on the front panel and yes even the cd/dvd drive works as well. I've updated the bios to the newest version, installed windows 11 and updated, and finally installed programs/games for benchmarking/stress testing purposes with AMD EXPO set. The only rgb lights on this are the on the ram which can be turned on or off by using signal rgb. I really wanted to lean in the sleeper side of this build, but wanted to make it functional, performant, and quiet. These parts were chosen for their performance, as well as their ability to stay cool under load. I have a youtube mini series showing the build process, parts selection and discussion, as well as game testing and synthetic benchmarks performed.
