So this PS5 controller is the original that came with the PS5 console in box back in 2020. I decided to recently install Hall Effect joysticks (since I had an extra set). For those who do not know what Hall Effect joysticks are: these eliminate stick drift (which I think we all know PS5 controllers are notorious for especially the originals) by using magnets and sensors as opposed to physical contact. This controller was used probably for a year or so but the stick drift happened months before that. Since at the time I didn’t know anything about Hall Effect, I just bought a new controller and stored this one away until now. Yes the listing is above MSRP because of the value these new joysticks bring. You won’t have to buy a new controller again (at least because of stick drift). I am more of a competitive gamer, so this standard controller does me no good as I am accustomed to back buttons, hair triggers etc. This controller does have a black back (from another custom controller I worked on) and I’ve provided evidence in the pictures of me installing and calibrating them. I ensured all soldering was adequate and that all buttons on the controller worked before listing :) Hope this description helps and maybe this will be the last controller you buy!
