The Perfect Starter Prebuilt PC That’s Actually Affordable

If a gamer is looking to jump into the world of PC gaming without breaking the bank, this is the type of build they should start with. One of our verified sellers Lethality just dropped this Ryzen 5 5500 and GTX 1660 Super prebuilt gaming PC, and the price is really attractive. Let’s take a closer look to see if it’s worth it.

Favorite Features

  • Performance - The Ryzen 5 5500 and GTX 1660 Super is a solid 1080p gaming combination if you’re on a strict budget. This combo can certainly still handle any game in 1080p, provided you’re willing to dial down the settings a bit.
  • Sama ARGB-Q5 - I’ve personally been using this case a lot lately for my own budget builds and budget flips as it’s one of the best mATX options available on the market right now for around $50. It comes with the 3 preinstalled ARGB fans as you can see in the pictures, and you can make them whatever color you want. I’d highly suggest changing them from the unicorn puke that’s featured in the photos though. 😉
  • Lethality - This seller has sold a solid amount of PC so far on Jawa, and only 1 of them sold for over $1000. It appears that this seller is focusing on delivering affordable 1080p gaming PCs to our customers, and you can see that they know what they’re doing with the part selections. Lethality also has a 100% positive review rating, and their profile page claims they’ll ship out the build in just 1 business day which you love to see.

Price to Performance Value

There’s a ton of value in a 1660 Super build priced at $550. Even against our competitive Jawa platform, this is easily one of the best builds under $600 that’s currently posted. When you combine that with the huge upgrade path that this build has, we’re talking about an amazing purchase for a first time PC gamer.

First Upgrades

Starting with the nitpicking, I would recommend first turning the AMD logo on the cooler to be at the 12 o’clock position, changing the RGBs to a solid color, and then throwing some cable extensions in there to take the aesthetics to a whole new level. Afterwards, the upgrade path has a ton of options, especially with the B450 motherboard. The buyer could eventually upgrade the CPU to a 5600X or even a 5800X3D, they could purchase an additional 16GB RAM kit to jump up to 32GB, and that 1660 Super could be upgraded to a 1440p GPU as well. Before upgrading the GPU, I would highly recommend also upgrading the 550W Aresgame power supply that’s in there though.

Conclusion

I love when sellers put together affordable builds like this with an expert level spec sheet. Not only can this PC perform now in 1080p, but it also has the potential to be upgraded to a 1440p gaming PC later on down the line. Definitely keep your eye out for Lethality and the budget builds, this is another great option from them.

🚨 Reminder! We have a gaming PC giveaway happening right now! One of our top sellers, PC Lab LLC, is giving away a 1440p build with a Ryzen 5 7600 and RTX 4070! Details are right here.
