The META Mid-Ranged Prebuilt

Today’s feature should provide value whether you’re actually hunting for a new gaming PC prebuilt, or if you’re still thinking about building one for yourself. Either way, this is exactly how you should do it if you’re in the market for a mid ranged gaming PC for less than $1000. The Ryzen 5 5600 and RX 6700XT is a perfect price to performance combo, so let’s take a look.

Favorite Features

  • CPU and GPU - There’s no CPU and GPU combination that I’ve recommend more in 2023 than the Ryzen 5 5600 and RX 6700XT. (Ryzen 5 3600 + RX 5700XT is pretty close though) If you’re looking to get the best value for your money this holiday season, then this is the combo to target. It’s capable of playing any game with high frame rates in 1080p, and you can stretch to 1440p with most titles with some tweaking as well. No other CPU and GPU can match the performance per dollar value that this has.
  • Sama AR01-RGB-BK - I promise it’s not an instant ticket to get featured on this newsletter if you use this case, but it sure feels that way. The super clean front glass panel paired with the RGB fans and even the IO options on the bottom look so unique and clean that I just can’t recommend it enough. I do wish this case came with some preinstalled vertical GPU mounting capability, but other than that it’s packing a ton of value. Don’t forget to notice the 3 black fans hidden up at the top for some extra airflow as well.
  • 32GB of RAM - I’m definitely starting to see more and more $1000 prebuilts come with 32GB of RAM these days, and I’m personally here for it. Starting off with 2 sticks at 32GB total gives you the ultimate upgradeability should you ever decide that you need 64GB.

Price to Performance Value

Like I said, this CPU and GPU combination is unmatched if you’re looking for FPS per dollar. On our super competitive Jawa platform (where other talented sellers know this is the sweet spot) this $995 price tag is about “normal” for a 6700XT build, but this package is the most complete and definitely the best aesthetically.

First Upgrades

The buyer of this build is certainly good to go for a while. Eventually they may discover that they want a bigger SSD for their rapidly growing game library, which you can easily do. Other than that, this build shouldn’t be upgraded until more performance is required, and you can easily upgrade the CPU or the GPU when that day comes.

Conclusion

If you’re on the fence about buying or building a $1000 gaming PC right now, or in the near future, this is the build to either follow or buy. At $1000 those bigger manufacturers are still selling RTX 3060 builds, and Darkstar from PC Lab LLC can run laps around those. This is a great blueprint for your own gaming PC, or definitely one that you can buy and starting gaming with right away.
