The Joker by RobE

Welcome to Zach’s Friday Feature! As a PC building YouTuber and PC flipper, I have built and sold literally hundreds of gaming PCs and now I want to help Jawa users out by highlighting an awesome PC build every week and talk about it.

This build is unlike every recommendation that I’ve ever given, but I just can’t ignore the value on The Joker build from RobE Gaming this week! The aesthetics aren’t as dialed in as I’d personally like, but with some quick and easy upgrades this is the definition of our “Good Value” tag as it has some serious price-to-performance!

Favorite Features

  • Performance Value – Value is the entire reason The Joker makes it to the newsletter this week. A build with the Intel i5 11400, RX 6700XT, 1TB NVMe drive, and all name-brand components at this $1100 price point is incredible. If you were to put all of these parts into PC Part Picker, or attempt to build it for yourself, you’ll question if RobE Gaming is even making a profit on this one. (Is he?)
  • Easy Aesthetic Upgrades – Like mentioned in the intro, I would have liked to see a little more attention to the aesthetics, but sometimes builds are focused purely on the performance like this one. The good thing is that there’s some super easy upgrades that you can apply to turn this build into an overall beast, both looks and power! I explain in the First Upgrades section down below what all I would do if I bought this PC.

Price to Performance Value

I would really like to see the reaction of people that try to find a build that competes with this one from the bigger manufactures. Ha! It’s just not going to happen at this price point, but I’ll try. Over on Amazon I found this SkyTech Shadow 3.0 for the same price point that has a measly Ryzen 5 3600 and GTX 1660 Super combo, and if you search on iBuyPower for 6700XT builds the cheapest one you’ll find costs $1699. And please don’t consider this CyberpowerPC with very similar specs but costs almost double what The Joker costs.

First Upgrades

I would purely focus on the aesthetic upgrades first on this one. This build is in desperate need of some white or black PSU cable extensions, and then I would definitely change the RGB colors on the fans to white. Instead of clashing the red/orange colors from the various components, you can set the fans to white which will really illuminate the internals of the build and truly showcase the beautiful Radeon reference GPU in there. No other major upgrades stand out.

Conclusion

If you’re looking for some serious value around the $1000-$1250 mark, The Joker PC build should be your last stop. With RTX 3070 levels of performance and some easy aesthetic upgrade options available, I would definitely recommend checking out RobE for this one. Don’t forget to check out his tattoo as well.
