Purple + Black Build by AES Tech Gaming

Dive into Zach's Friday Feature with AES Tech Gaming's Purple/Black 12400F & RTX 3060 build. A masterpiece in both value and aesthetics you won't want to miss!

Purple + Black Build by AES Tech Gaming

Welcome to Zach’s Friday Feature! As a PC building YouTuber and PC flipper, I have built and sold literally hundreds of gaming PCs and now I want to help Jawa users out by highlighting an awesome PC build every week and talk about it.

Gracing us with his presence once more, AES Tech Gaming dropped an amazing Purple/Black gaming PC build that we definitely can not skip over this week. This 12400F and RTX 3060 build not only performs in the value department, but the beauty speaks for itself as well. Let’s take a look.

Favorite Features

  • Beauty – Now I’m personally a sucker for purple and black gaming PCs, the uniqueness and contrast from these colors just look stunning in my opinion, and AES Tech Gaming executed on this color scheme perfectly. Not only do you get the RGB control from components like the RAM, case, and fans (and can change them if you’d like), but he also added some much appreciated purple touches with the cable extensions as well as the vinyl wrap action on the PSU. Just as a side note, you could change this color scheme to be whatever you wanted with a quick swap of the extensions and vinyl, all for around $35.
  • Intel 12th Gen – Always worth mentioning when the price is right, but there are so many builds that are still on the market today around this $1150 price point but aren’t taking advantage of Intel’s 12th generation technology. When paired with Windows 11 (which is activated on this build) the Intel i5 12400F is one of the best chips for mid range builds these days and those 6 performance cores and 12 total threads ensures your frame rates stay high, especially in those CPU demanding titles. (Fortnite, CSGO, Dota, League, etc)
  • Established and Trusted Seller – The 5 total transactions and 100% positive rating don’t paint the full picture for AES Tech Gaming. This seller is a seriously accomplished custom PC builder and seller and the quality in his products speak for themselves. He has consistently used top tier components in his builds (like this one especially) and with his bulk order discounts from selling so much he’s able to keep his prices lower than most people. He’s also known for not hiding cheap parts outside of the main performance components, for example this build is still using a high quality Intel 670P NVMe SSD and an EVGA SuperNova 650GT power supply which are really solid products.

Price to Performance Value

Like I just mentioned, remember that this total build price isn’t just about the 12400F and RTX 3060. (Which are thankfully both getting cheaper and cheaper these days). This total price however is about the craftsmanship of the build with some serious attention to detail, as well as the high quality component choice in every single category. For some quick comparisons, CyberPowerPC is selling an “Early July 4th Special Build” that’s roughly the same price, except it has a generation old Intel 11400F and a much slower performing RTX 3050. Best Buy isn’t coming close either, their 4th PC on their “Best Selling” list is this Skytech Archangel 3.0 build that’s more expensive but with a Ryzen 5 3600, and it also doesn’t come close in terms of aesthetics. Gross.

First Upgrades

Honestly I could have left this section out of the newsletter today because this build is as balanced as it gets. No immediate upgrades are required, unless you are specifically targeting something like 32GB of RAM or 2TB+ of storage. It’s also worth emphasizing again that you aren’t necessarily locked to the purple and black color scheme, you could very easily buy some red vinyl as well as some red and black cable extensions to transform the aesthetics for not that much money. (White and black would look amazing as well).

Conclusion

One of the best custom PC builders on the platform (in my humble opinion), AES Tech Gaming delivered a banger in this week’s build. Amazing and dialed in aesthetics, matched with a perfect balance of the performance parts, this build is certainly one that you should consider if you’re targeting a $1000-$1200 gaming PC. He also has some higher end builds for sale here as well!
