Did This Seller Follow Through on Their Bold Claim?

Investigating a "Top Deal" Ryzen 5 3600 & RTX 3060 build. Is this seller's claim legit? We dig deep to validate the value and performance.

Did This Seller Follow Through on Their Bold Claim?

Today we are doing some investigative work on this particular build posting because as you can see, the seller put right in the title that this one is a “💣Top Deal💣” but we’ll need to be the judge of that. Right off the bat we can see that it’s rocking a Ryzen 5 3600 and an RTX 3060, but we’ll need to dive a bit deeper into verifying if this claim is legit or not…

Favorite Features

  • RTX 3060 Pricing - Despite the rocky GPU launches from both Nvidia and AMD this week, the price of GPUs in general is indeed going down which is a great thing for us consumers. My search today for builds that I wanted to feature was specifically targeting RTX 3060 builds and I wanted to find which ones were the cheapest on Jawa. The build we’re looking at right now is currently the 2nd cheapest RTX 3060 build on the platform, and this is capable of some serious price to performance. The RTX 3060 can play literally any game in 1080p without a problem, and you can even jump into 1440p for some of the lighter titles as well.
  • DeepCool CH370 - I actually use this case for one of the builds that I personally sell, and I’m a huge fan of what it offers, especially for the price. The CH370 not only has an adequate amount of airflow in the front for cooling, but you can actually adjust the design of the front holes by pushing the lever up and down. This is perfect for those of you that like a particular airflow design in the front. The other thing I like about it is the built-in headset stand. That little black square at the top right corner of the side profile picture shows where it is, and you can simply push this button in to retract a little headset stand which is great to keep your gaming desk nice and tidy.
  • Fan Selection - Now I’ll admit, the one downfall of the DeepCool CH370 is the lack of fans that it comes with, which I believe is only 1. Thankfully, PC Lab LLC had the great idea to include 5x 120mm white PWM case fans in there to complete the build. This not only makes the case look filled out aesthetically, but now we know that there’s plenty of airflow running through here for top tier performance.

Price to Performance Value

Like I said, for today’s newsletter I was on the hunt for the cheapest RTX 3060 builds that I could find on the platform. At the time of writing, there’s currently only one other build that’s cheaper than this one, but the aesthetics aren’t nearly as dialed in. You certainly won’t find a big manufacture selling an RTX 3060 build for anywhere remotely close to this price range either, so if this is what you’re in the market for, the value is here.

First Upgrades

To be frank, upgradeability isn’t the biggest strong suit in this build. Whenever you’re trying to build the ultimate price to performance gaming PC, that will often have to sacrifice upgradeability in the long run. The Ryzen 5 3600 is typically in a very upgradeable situation, but with the MSI A320M Pro-VH motherboard, our options are extremely limited. Same thing goes with the RAM, as there are only 2 slots on there. If I was the owner of this gaming PC and wanted to throw some money in it, I would honestly upgrade the motherboard first to a more capable B450M or B550M model, that way I could piece together other upgrades in the future such as a newer CPU and more RAM.

Despite the lack of upgradability, I think the “💣Top Deal💣” tag that PC Lab LLC gave themselves is still warranted in this build and it passed the test. The fact that this is a $799 RTX 3060 gaming PC warrants the tag alone, but there’s a lot more to like about the build beyond the GPU. If you, or someone you know is in the market for an $800 prebuilt gaming PC, I’d highly recommend taking a look at this one first.
