A Custom RTX 2080 Enters the Chat

Eyeing a mid-range gaming PC with flair? Check out the Eclipse RGB Gaming PC by Bay Bridge PC

A Custom RTX 2080 Enters the Chat

Today we are featuring the Eclipse RGB Gaming PC that was listed by Bay Bridge PC a couple of days ago and this one is definitely worth your attention if you’re looking for a mid-ranged build. This rig has the RGB flexibility to form into any color scheme that you want, and the included RTX 2080 GPU performs magnificently even here in 2023. Let’s take a closer look.

Favorite Features

  • RTX 2080 Paint Job - This is originally an MSI RTX 2080 model, but as you can tell from the pictures, this seller put a little extra art work into this graphics card. This is a beautifully executed job of painting the backplate as well as the extra accent pieces to tie in the white color scheme of the build. With this paint job paired with the white cable extensions, this is definitely a gaming PC that you want to sit on top of the desk.
  • Underrated GPU Power - Keeping our focus on the painted GPU, the performance of this card is also no slouch either. Although it’s 2 generations old at this point, the RTX 2080 is still a dominate 1080p GPU and can stretch to 1440p for a lot of titles as well. For a comparison against newer cards, the RTX 2080 is in between the 3060 and 3060Ti, and pretty close to an RX 6700. For a $770 total prebuilt price, that’s some great GPU value.
  • Upgrade Path - We’ll talk more about this in the First Upgrades section, but the quick preview is that you’ll have a lot of options with this build. The CPU, RAM, and even GPU can be easily upgraded over time and this build can evolve with the buyer for the next few years.

Price to Performance Value

Judging off the Ryzen 5 3600 and RTX 2080 performance components, the value here is amazing compared to the bigger manufactures. Again, this is in between RTX 3060 and RTX 3060Ti level of performance, and most companies are still charging over $1000 for that kind of power. In terms of our super competitive Jawa market, this is one of the cheapest RTX 2080 options available (small sample size), and compared to RTX 3060 builds, it’s certainly cheaper than almost every option that’s currently listed.

First Upgrades

The Eclipse is a great prebuilt to purchase if you’re looking for a “Project PC” or a build that can grow with you as your gaming demands increase over time. Absolutely nothing needs tweaked when it’s first purchased, but there’s lots of room to upgrade later on down the line. Being on the B450 platform, you’ll easily be able to upgrade to a better CPU like the Ryzen 5 5600 or maybe even the upcoming Ryzen 5 5600X3D that was just rumored this week. There’s also 2 more RAM slots to easily upgrade to 32GB. And finally because of the EVGA SuperNova 750W power supply, even the GPU can be upgraded to something more modern if you want to.

Conclusion

Builds like this are exactly why our platform is the best on the internet. The value that this PC provides in not just the performance department, but also the custom painted aesthetics department is top tier. This is only the third gaming PC that Bay Bridge PC has ever posted on Jawa, so I’m excited to see their future builds which are hopefully listed soon!
