$1000 Prebuilts Don’t Get Much Better Than This!

Today’s Friday Feature is highlighting the combination of performance value, aesthetics, and even upgradeability. This PC is housed inside the Cube 01 case and is packing a Ryzen 5 with an RTX 2080Ti. Although both aren’t the latest generation available, this combination is still packing a punch. This latest gaming PC prebuilt from Osoken’s Customs is definitely worthy of a closer look.

Favorite Features

  • RTX 2080Ti - Yes, we know that RTX 2000 series is already 2 generations out of date at this point, but that doesn’t mean this GPU isn’t still a beast. Just a few years ago, the 2080Ti was the top dog when it came to gaming GPUs, and currently it’s competing with the RTX 3070 level of performance. That means that it can easily crush any game in 1080p, and it still has some 1440p life left in it as well.
  • Cube 01 - This “fish tank” type of case is currently the hot new trend in PC building, and this budget alternative definitely checks off this box. This is one of the very rare times I wish the seller would have included just 1 photo for us with the tempered glass installed, because I know for a fact this one is a beauty. It also looks like the seller elected to use all Thermalright case fans around the case, but I can’t 100% confirm that because it’s not on the spec sheet. Either way, it looks amazing.
  • Black PSU Extensions - Some people to this day are still questioning why we buy black PSU cable extensions, especially when the stock PSU cables are black, but this build represents exactly why. These super slick, straight, and braided cables connecting to the motherboard and graphics card just look so clean and it really takes the aesthetics of the build to the next level.

Price to Performance Value

The price to performance value is top notch because of the CPU and GPU combo. The 5600G and 2080Ti can still hang in 1440p, and like I said this GPU is competing with the RTX 3070 which is no slouch. Almost all $1000 prebuilt gaming PCs from the bigger manufacturers are including an RTX 4060 right now, and this one would have no problems beating them. When you factor in the additional aesthetics, it’s game over. The value on Jawa always wins. 😉

First Upgrades

This type of upgrade path is going to come down to the specific buyer’s preference because nothing needs immediately upgraded. If they need more than 1TB of storage, they can grab another SSD. If they need more CPU processing power, then they can upgrade to a 5700X or 5800X3D. If they want to get into content creation or multi-task heavy workloads, they can add another 16GB kit of RAM. There are lots of possibilities with this build.

Conclusion

Very few builds pack the “Big Three” factors that I look for in gaming PC prebuilts, which is performance value, aesthetics, and upgradeability. Somehow this build has all 3, and honestly this is about as well rounded as it can get right now for a $1000 gaming PC in our current market. I’d highly recommend considering this build from Osoken’s Customs if this is your price range.
