C4PIN has a plethora of 3.5” internal Hard Disk Drives (HDDs), SATA protocol, various manufacturers (mainly Seagate, Toshiba, and Western Digital – see photos for examples).

All drives have been wiped with ‘DBAN’ or ‘ShredOS’ software. 

These hard drives were donated to C4PIN. They are used, and were functional in an operational computer. However, *C4PIN will NOT provide a guarantee of full functionality or a warranty with these HDDs*, and they do not include any SATA power cables, SATA data cables, or mounting brackets. An electrostatic discharge (ESD) bag will be provided with each drive.

Possible purposes for these drives include use as internal storage for a PC (or Mac), to provide external backup storage in a USB connected enclosure, or use in a Network Attached Storage (NAS) device.

A C4PIN receipt will be provided with purchase of these items. Purchase price includes local sales tax for Bellingham, WA, USA.

Seagate Barracuda 1 TB 7200 RPM

I have quantity available of these drives; purchased by a friend who was going to do a server project for his work right before the March 2020 shutdown. The drives sat, and upon his workplace reopening everyone forgot about them. Finally, they were found a couple months ago in an IT room, and I got them at a discount for buying them all.

These are some of the highest-quality SATA SSDs available, rivaling cacheless NVMe drives in performance while boasting considerably better endurance ratings due to the DRAM cache in these drives. Same level of quality as a Samsung 860 Pro, for reference, simply using Micron NAND rather than SEC NAND.
