The gaming PC prebuilt that we’re looking at today is the perfect way to jump into prime 1440p gaming without breaking the bank. This is the least expensive RTX 4070 build that I’ve ever seen posted, and the surrounding components are top notch as well. I have a feeling this one won’t last long on the market, so let’s take a closer look while we still can.
Favorite Features:
- RTX 4070 - The 4070 is a beast of a 1440p gaming GPU and it’s still being sold in prebuilt PCs of sometimes $1500 or more. For it to be sold in this one for only $1249 is absolutely crazy. This is all you need for a really solid 1440p gameplay experience. Keep in mind that the seller advertises this as a “refurbished” GPU, so it’s not brand new just for the record.
- Ryzen 7 5700X3D - This CPU is currently the 2nd best option for Ryzen’s AM4 platform and it can hang with almost all of the top tier graphics cards, including the RTX 4070. This CPU and GPU combination make a great pair for 1440p gaming. With 8 cores and 16 threads it’ll also be great for an office/productivity PC if the buyer needs that capability as well.
- Additional Components - Sometimes in an aggressively priced PC we’ll see a solid CPU and GPU combination, but then the build lacks in quality with the other parts. That’s not the case with this build, as everything else inside of here is looking top tier as well. The 5700X3D is water cooled by a 240mm AIO, the RAM is a 32GB DDR4 kit with a CL16 rating, the power supply is rated Tier A on the tier list, and the Zalman P10 case looks stunning as well. This is a high quality prebuilt gaming PC the whole way through.
Price to Performance Value:
Price to performance value is exactly why this PC is getting the feature this week. I do not think that you can find a better valued Nvidia based 1440p system on Jawa, or possibly anywhere on the internet right now. The 5700X3D and 4070 combo by itself for a $1249 build is unreal, but when you combine that with the other parts, it’s unbeatable.
First Upgrades:
There’s not much to upgrade right away. The CPU and GPU combination should last for several years, but what might not last that long is the 1TB of storage. The motherboard only has one slot though, so the move to 2TB or 4TB will involve completely swapping out the original SSD that’s installed.
Conclusion
If a buyer is willing to go with a prebuilt that has a couple of refurbished parts, then this is the one to get for 1440p gaming. It’s priced very well for buyers, and it appears that this seller is trying to rack up some extra points for the Scrapyard Wars giveaway with a quick sale! If I could award bonus giveaway tickets for this listing, I would.
