The beautiful part of PC gaming is that you can essentially pay whatever you want to jump into the hobby. Some gamers prefer spending $2000 or more on a high end 4K gaming build, and others are looking for prices closer to the range of consoles. The latter type build is what we’re looking at today becauseRyzen 5 3600 and RTX 2060 prebuilt for $540 is rocking some serious value. Let’s take a closer look.
Favorite Features:
- RTX 2060 - Despite being several generations out of date at this point, I still personally love the RTX 2060 for the low budget builds. In 2024 this can still handle any game you throw at it provided you tweak the settings a bit, and it’s also the most affordable “RTX” graphics card on the market. It’s great for both PC sellers and gamers, and bonus points because Uniquity PCs went with a model that aesthetically fits the rest of the build.
- Okinos Aqua 3 - This case is on fire lately and I just built with it as well because of all the hype. For $60 this case is a steal because it has an all-black mATX design with 3 preinstalled ARGB fans and the signature fish tank layout. All 3 fans it comes with are exhaust fans mind you, meaning it builds a negative airflow setup which still results in decent temperatures. The beefy PSU basement contains a bunch of room for the extra cables, and overall it’s a very clean and minimal design which a lot of gamers love, especially me.
- Ryzen 5 3600 - Just like the RTX 2060, this Ryzen 5 is several generations out of date but still packs a punch. When paired with a budget GPU (like the 2060) it can deliver an amazing 1080p gaming experience on a budget. This is one of the few CPUs that make a bunch of others obsolete because of how much value it has for the price.
Price to Performance Value:
There’s not exactly a ton of competition for $500-$550 prebuilts anywhere on the internet except for Jawa. There’s 2 pages worth at the time of writing, but today’s featured build is probably my top favorite out of all of them. Most of them are rocking GPUs such as the RX 580, GTX 1060, or 1660 Super, so going with the RTX 2060 is shaping up to be a top option for price to performance value.
First Upgrades:
I don’t often say this, but the first thing I’d replace on this build is the motherboard. This Maxsun B450 board gets the job done with the 3600, but if you want to upgrade to a high tier AM4 option such as the 5800X3D, you’ll probably want a higher end motherboard to go along with it. The seller also says that there’s no IO shield included, so that gives you even more reason to get a new board.
Conclusion
Overall for a $540 prebuilt gaming PC we really can’t complain about the shortcomings of a build like this. The CPU and GPU are a fantastic pairing for the price, and this will result in a solid 1080p Low to Medium level of gameplay on a tight budget. I’m definitely giving the seller bonus points for the clean design as well. This one’s definitely worth considering if it’s in your price range.
