I’m Amanda, the cofounder and CEO of Jawa.gg, and I’ve been lucky enough to witness how our community has taken hobbies to the next level and transformed side projects into game-changing ventures.

“EliteTech Builds started off as just a side project without an official business name, where I would build PCs for friends and family members, or people whom I met online. My business had kind of hit a standstill because the previous marketplace I was using had fees that just kept increasing, and it became unprofitable as a result.
Jawa's fee structure was reasonable, and its timing was impeccable—it went public the year before I needed to move out of my apartment. The extra income was directly responsible for my ability to purchase my first home. “My small business was started after I lost my job due to layoffs from crashing oil prices. Really, I was doing anything I could to pay bills and keep my family stable. But I had always been handy with computers/electronics in general, and I was heavily involved in a few small communities that supported my E-Cycling.

Boom’s Custom PCs
“Boom’s Custom PCs started because I was driven to teach myself a new skill. I had taught myself high-voltage electricity, lighting, and micro-soldering before this, and I got the itch for a computer. I bought a prebuilt iBP and wasn’t satisfied.
I found a good deal on a 13900k, ROG Maximus Z790, and 32GB DDR5—but had no one to install it. So I ripped the prebuilt apart and put the new stuff in, teaching myself along the way. Seven months later, I’ve built 20+ computers, and Boom’s Custom PCs was born.” Check out Boom’s Custom PCs

“The journey began in 2020 when I was just 16 years old. I put together a basic PC using budget parts I found online, which was great for gaming and everyday use. I became obsessed with tinkering on it, dreaming of turning it into a streaming PC for my now-defunct gaming YouTube channel.
A year later, I saved up enough to build a custom PC, which I sold on Mercari. It was a solid start, but it wasn't until Jawa.gg started sponsoring big creators like Zach Tech Turf around late 2021 or early 2022 that I really recognized the potential. Turning 18 was a pivotal moment for me. I began selling PCs through Jawa.gg and immersed myself in creating PC-related content on YouTube.
